uk land of hope glory

Ello!
I've been lurking around here for while, but decided that I should only join once I've gotten fully up to date with the manga...which I now am! Yay!! ^__^

Funnilly enough, my love of Death Note began through the HUGE L fandom that there is out there...I love the guy sooo much! *Hugs L* I mostly have Go Devil Dantes' DA account to thank for my obsession. ^__<

Um.....I'll hopefully have some art to offer up here, but I'm busy busy all the time, so it may not be as regular as I'd like. @__@ Gah.
Well, just to prove that I have done SOMETHING...here's my very very first attempt at drawing L.
It's just a sketch to get me used to drawing him....don't mind the crappy hands. I'll sort him out later and also give him some colour. ^__^

He might look kinda odd, because I tend to take characters and adapt them to my own style. Like, extremely! ^__
Yuu potter?

My first post is a question!

Hello I am new to the community! I have only been reading this manga for about less then a month but I absolutely adore it! I have a question I'm 95% sure that there is no death note anime, so my question is are there any talks of a possible anime production? If so which comapany do you think should do it? I hope against hope that it is NOT Studio Pierrot!

In case your curious from off the top of my head here is a list of other BETTER studios that could handel it!

Gainax- FLCL, His and Hers circumstances, Neon genesis Evangelion
Sunrise- Gundam series, Escaflowne, Inuyasha (the studio is a no thrills gets the job done studio like Pierrot except, you know, not crappy!)
Madhouse- Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, X/TV,
Bee Train- .hack//sign, Noir, Tsubasa Chronicles
Production I.G.- Ghost in the shell, Dead leaves
Bones- Rahxephon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Wolfs rain
Gonzo- Full metal Panic, Last Exile, Samurai7 (Actually I hate Gonzo because of their crappy use of CG and habit of being mediocre.)

You can see that I hate Pierrot greatly. Why,You may ask, well simply because Pierrot has poor production qualities. True that traditionally Studio Pierrot handles most Shonen Jump titles but frankly I will weep should they do Death Note. Because it is not within their capabilities to do this great manga justice.

Studio Pierrot (also known as "studio low budget" is great for long series of the action variety but little else) - Yu Yu Hakusho, Hikaru no Go, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece
  • Current Music

I hope I'm not re-posting this thought, but...

I got my Shonen Jump today, an' it said it was gonna have a preview of Death Note in it next issue. So I guess it'll be in America soon.

Wonder what part of the manga they'll preview? I'd think it would be when Raito initially acquires the note/meets Ryuk, or something, since anything else would really be more spoilers...

Well, random thought.
